About COBSMEs

COBSMEs is a dynamic and innovative non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to supporting and empowering Black businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals. Our mission is to foster economic growth, bridge opportunity gaps, and promote self-sufficiency within the Black community. Through comprehensive mentorship, training, and access to grants and funding, we aim to create a thriving ecosystem of empowered Black enterprises.

Objectives

Empowering Black Businesses: Mentorship, Training, Capital, Collaboration, Advocacy.

Mentorship and Guidance

Our primary focus is to connect aspiring Black entrepreneurs and business owners with experienced mentors who offer guidance, expertise, and support throughout their journey. Our mentorship programs aim to cultivate leadership skills, build confidence, and enhance strategic decision-making.

Training and Capacity Building

We offer tailored training programs and workshops that cover essential business skills, financial management, marketing strategies, and other relevant topics. These initiatives are designed to equip Black businesses with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in a competitive market.

Access to Capital

COBSMEs is dedicated to bridging the financial gap faced by many Black entrepreneurs. We hope to connect Black businesses to grants, access to affordable loans, funding opportunities, and resources that enable them to scale their ventures, expand operations, and create sustainable employment opportunities within their communities.

Networking and Collaboration

We foster a strong sense of community by organizing networking events, business conferences, and industry forums that facilitate meaningful connections and collaboration between Black entrepreneurs and professionals. These interactions pave the way for valuable partnerships and shared success.

Advocacy & Representation

CoBSMEs seeks to advocate for policies and initiatives that address systemic barriers and promote equitable opportunities for black entrepreneurs in the business landscape.
